Abu Ali Muhammad al-Hassan Ibn al-Haitham or Alhazen
(Basra, 965 - Cairo, 1039), known in intellectual circles in the West, with the name Alhazen, is an Islamic scholar who is an expert in the fields of science, astronomy, mathematics, geometry, medicine, and philosophy. He also did a lot of investigation into light, and has provided inspiration to western scientists like Boger, Bacon and Kepler invented the microscope and telescope. Other fields: Physics, Optics, Mathematics.
